Last email they wanted me to send the log file (again) from toolbox. I sent them two, one from a Win 7 computer and the other form Win 10. I tried once again to get Navi Toolbox to "see" my prepared USB stick. So again I opened a Chat with Navi Support and got a very helpful person named Julia.Īs usual, it was not recognized by Navi Toolbox. Once she had the Ticket number that I got on an earlier email reply from Navi Support she had me open the License file folder within Synctool and send her the names of the licenses listed inside. Turns out there were FOUR licenses inside.

She had me delete three of them and restart NaviToolbox. Then I was able to see the available updates and download them to my USB drive ^) On restart of NaviToolbox it recognized my USB drive and let me log in. I successfully updated the Pioneer unit with the new map files today and it went well. The "extra" license files that were in my synctool/license folder are listed below. I have no idea if your synctool /license files will be the same. But it seems that there should be only ONE license file in the folder. Here are the instructions Julia gave me and they WORKED this time for me. Pioneer_ Primo_UC_13Q2_NQ_ExtPOI_TMC_ DEM_HNR_TTS_JV_CAR_CS_Mid_ NX264_3.lyc Please delete the following files from the folder: Okay, here you can see the license files. Once deleted, please launch the Toolbox and check whether it can pick up the USB stick. YES! Sorry for the late reply, but that was my issue as well. I suspect that part of the issue may have been updating my maps in the past from eBay.How can I update my existing maps or buy extras? Ultimately it came down to these licenses I had to remove: They had me delete log files but nothing worked. You can update your maps via Mazda Update Toolbox application/software.

Update Toolbox is a free-of-charge software that allows you to download, purchase, and install map updates to your navigation SD card. Without the Update Toolbox, you cannot download updates to your navigation SD card. NOTE: Mazda SD-card: The SD card is built in your vehicle’s navigation system and it contains the navigation system licenses with the factory-installed map. To update the map on your navigation system, you need to remove the SD card from its slot (see image) and insert it into your computer’s SD card reader.
